Visible Welding was founded by Steven Edelson to create the ultimate video camera for the ultimate lighting challenge, Arc Welding.

Over the last 20 years, Mr. Edelson has started a number of high-tech companies.  He is a recognized expert in technology commercialization and has consulted to multinationals and startups alike.  

Although he is an electrical engineer with 10 patents in video and imaging, developing the Ultra-1 arc welding cameras required more than electronics.  It required a multi-disciplinary video approach that combined techniques in

· Camera Electronics

· Real-Time Video Image Processing and

· Video Compression, Storage and Display
